With the help of decentralized sequencers, ZK proofs, and escape hatches that ensure user funds may always be withdrawn, Gasp provides native cross-chain swaps without the need for conventional bridges.
One of the first AVSs (Actively Validated Services) in the ecosystem, the Gasp network also depends on Ethereum for transaction finality via EigenLayer.
ZK-rollups by themselves are not strong to guarantee cross-chain swap validity. They are unable to vouch for transactions that occur between them, such as an ARB<>OP swap, but only within a single rollup.
In order to achieve our goal of creating an exchange protocol that supports rollup-native liquidity, we need a source of truth that is reliable and can vouch for the integrity of the protocol that facilitates cross-chain swaps. So we thought, can Ethereum advocate Gasp? EigenLayer enables this.
